Instrument: Isotope-ratio Mass Spectrometer
The Isotope-ratio Mass Spectrometer is a particular type of mass spectrometer used to measure the relative abundance of isotopes in a given sample (e.g. VG Prism II Isotope Ratio Mass-Spectrometer).
Sediment samples were run on a Carlo Erba 1108 elemental analyzer with a Costech zero-blank autosampler (Costech Analytical Technologies, Inc., USA) interfaced to a Thermo Finnigan Delta Plus XP IRMS (Thermo Finnigan, USA).
