These data include Prochlorococcus cell density, nitrate (NO3-) and nitrite (NO2-) concentration, and fluorometry data for experiments that examined nitrite production by LLI Prochlorococcus following a pulse of nitrate under stress conditions. The conditions evaluated included light shock, and temperature shock.
