The pipe was driven into the sediment until the logger was approximately <15 centimeters (cm) above the sediment surface, positioned to rarely be emersed except during low spring tides. We recorded water temperature at 15-minute intervals during a two-week period at all sites from 16 August to 29 August in 2019.
